Free Scholarship & Grant Seminar

Opening the Door to Education Funding

For too many talented young people, the dream of university or college ends at the price tag. On Saturday, April 25, 2026, Neighbors International set out to change that with a free Scholarship & Grant Seminar for Youth. 158 young people registered, and 112 attended.  High school students, recent graduates, immigrant and underserved youth, and parents logged on to learn how scholarships, grants, bursaries and loans differ, where to find funding others overlook, the top mistakes applicants make, and how to win awards even with average grades.

The impact was clear. Many of the participants rated the seminar excellent. They said they gained new knowledge about scholarships and grants, and  felt more confident finding and applying for funding. The seminar was built for the students who most often miss out: newcomer and underserved youth who may not know these opportunities exist, have no one at home who has navigated the system, or assume funding is only for top-grade students.

The demand is proof of the need: Partner with us to make sure money never stops a young person’s education dream.
