What happens when young people are given the confidence, skills, mentorship, and opportunity to change their world? The Youth Changemakers Leadership Program (YCLP 2026) is proof that transformation begins when potential meets opportunity.

Implemented by Neighbors International and supported by the Genesis Centre Community Grant, YCLP 2026 empowered immigrant and underserved youth aged 13–20 in Calgary through an intensive six-week journey of leadership development, social entrepreneurship, and community problem-solving. The program attracted 60 applications, admitted 40 participants, and celebrated 36 graduates—a 90% completion rate and an outstanding 100% participant satisfaction rate. Through 12 structured sessions, 15+ core learning topics, and engagement with 10+ expert speakers, facilitators, and mentors, participants developed practical skills in entrepreneurship and social innovation. They explored how to transform community challenges into opportunities for meaningful, sustainable change.
